So glad to have come across your Substack, Natalia. Working in UK financial services, I’m seeing millions of pounds being poured into AI with very little tangible return - it mirrors exactly what you’ve noted about the limits of a purely cerebral or performance-driven model. The data I’m seeing suggests AI isn't the cost-effective 'replacement' for humans it’s marketed to be. Instead, its real value is as a tool to enhance our humanity, building on the experience and emotional intelligence that a machine simply cannot replicate.
Thank you for being here! And yes, that is my experience as well, and some of these investors are up for a surprise! If this is what it will take for us to finally realize what it is to be human, let it be! I am looking forward to sharing more thoughts along the journey!
"[E]xpecting answers to our most pressing questions to come from the frontrunners of the current system is naive. They will come from outliers who can see beyond the current Matrix."
Beautiful comment! You should have written Warning>>> You might understand your own role and you might be inspired to do something different....
I especially like this part: "History is, once again, about to repeat itself. If we have learned anything from the past, it should probably be this: when we forget that we are all sacred, we doom ourselves to repeat the power game: control over another = exploitation."
And also, " The new hero of the story is not in any one 'Neo', it is in all of us together, not the 'hive mind', but rather those who have discernment, who have had their boots-on-the-ground and have been learning about reality in real time -- risking, failing, doing, creating, connecting and discerning."
And "They do not deserve power, they deserve healing." ...
And much more... It's full of gems. Thank you, Mia!
Ah, and lastly, I experienced the same huge sigh of relief and a sense of peace...
This article has given me a huge sigh of relief and a sense of peace that I didn't know I needed. Warning>>> I'd like to lay some unpleasant ground work but - such are the times - so feel free to skip this comment.
As many now know, the WEF is a self-elected group who's family wealth and status enables them to cosplay as thought leaders while orchestrating a control grid for the rest of us but they do not act alone.
...So I've been following two of the braver investigators of the Epstein files (Sayer Ji and Mind Unveiled). As they comb through the documents most of us will never have the time to fully read, the nature of what they are uncovering is, of course, horrific but something even more disturbing is becoming clear -- the "expert" class, particularly in science and technology but clearly everywhere there is a power hierarchy (do the math and weep), are largely populated by people who think very mechanistically; that is to say, without a true appreciation for the mysteries of Love, Beauty, humility, wonder, or the poetry of action - where chaos reveals a greater sense of order - and is beyond our capability to comprehend intellectually....and what I feel from this article is the crucial notion that the real Human Advantage is far more mysterious and beautiful than mere intellect.
Most scientists operate within a walled garden where they are playing with numbers and precedent (research) -- "rules" of rationality that limit possibility and, as such, limit our perception of reality. These men (and women handlers) in the Epstein files are entitled, control-addicts who lust for power and are more than happy to dog-paddle around the kiddy pool of privilege and wealth where the real questions are conveniently and routinely swept out of said pool. They are so high on their own supply that they are willing to murder innocence and, it would seem, that the more they do this, the more they enjoy it. They obsess on the clinical application of their private hoard of gold (knowledge from the ivory towers) and blithely assume that they are somehow at the cutting-edge...thought leaders, "brilliant" minds. Ultimately, it would seem that the joke is on them. They laugh at the victims being deceived by offers of various kinds and led to the slaughter but they, too, are trapped in their dystopian reality where Love is simply a word for what satiates, no real beauty -- super models, fame, wealth, awards... only superficial constructs of the real thing. Yes, AI is useful but, as you rightly point out, it is limited by it's own coding, created by some people who think they have successfully crawled out of their own thought-box (intellectual limitations). This is, at best, naivety, at worst -- hubris.
What are we to do with this recursive hell that society keeps offering up? I see your Bottom Line as the crux or potentially the greatest turning point for humanity -- IF we can collectively recognize that which you are describing -- allowing AI to replace the work of discernment, thought, agency. Thank you for this! We cannot talk about this enough right now. I would liken current AI to the Doctrine of Discovery on steroids and outfitted for the modern frontier. AI will come to our land and say "I have discovered this place and therefor you must leave or submit to my rules". History is, once again, about to repeat itself. If we have learned anything from the past, it should probably be this: when we forget that we are all sacred, we doom ourselves to repeat the power game: control over another = exploitation. This is why the punishment of crime does not resolve anything. Those who would rule our destiny are sick in the heart. When we blame and punish those who exemplify evil, we miss the point. They do not act in a vacuum. They are simply taking the system we have agreed upon to it's ultimate conclusion. They do not deserve power, they deserve healing. The only way out of this historical repetition is through a collective response to the tragedy of our time... and that response is to share pathways toward the realization of a higher consciousness. We can only do this by way of collaboration, not control.
I feel a new day dawning. If we can increase our awareness of this Bottom Line, share our concerns and observations (as we are right now) to connect on beautiful possibilities, we can become a united force for change. The new hero of the story is not in any one 'Neo', it is in all of us together, not the 'hive mind', but rather those who have discernment, who have had their boots-on-the-ground and have been learning about reality in real time -- risking, failing, doing, creating, connecting and discerning. When we ignore our own voice for an outside authority, or want to co-opt someone else's ideas, we lack the strength to hold the frequency of change. Recognize this and step into your own possibility. Our future depends upon it.
